Comprehensive sexual health and HIV prevention education for freshman students The California Healthy Youth Act requires that comprehensive sexual health education and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) prevention education be taught to students at least once in middle school and once in high school, beginning no later than grade seven. This instruction will be provided by Rian Shultz, Southern Humboldt JUSD Community School Coordinator and Rochelle Agers, Redwood Community Action Agency from December 2nd - January 10th in Health class.

Back to School Night Back to School Night will be Wed. Sept. 11th. Refreshments in the Wellness Center at 4:15 pm. Class visits start at 4:45 PM. Blank schedules will be sent home to fill out with your student.

All interested parties are encouraged to attend this meeting. The final Education Protection Account (EPA) Projections adoption will then take place at a special meeting of the Board of Trustees scheduled for June 28, 2024.
