California Healthy Youth Act

The California Healthy Youth Act requires that comprehensive sexual health education and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) prevention education be taught to students at least once in middle school and once in high school, beginning no later than grade seven. This instruction will be provided by Rian Shultz, Southern Humboldt Joint Unified School District Community School Coordinator and Rochelle Agers, Cal Poly Social Work Intern from February 3, 22025 to February 14, 2025.

South Fork High Closed 11/22/24 - Power Out

SFHS & MJH Closure: Due to the power outage, South Fork High School and Miranda Junior High will be CLOSED today. ALL OTHER SCHOOLS in the district plan to remain OPEN with a 2 hour delayed start.

Comprehensive sexual health and HIV prevention education for freshman students

The California Healthy Youth Act requires that comprehensive sexual health education and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) prevention education be taught to students at least once in middle school and once in high school, beginning no later than grade seven. This instruction will be provided by Rian Shultz, Southern Humboldt JUSD Community School Coordinator and Rochelle Agers, Redwood Community Action Agency from December 2nd - January 10th in Health class.
